I picked up a set of monroe gas shocks at Advanced Auto Parts yesterday (monroe part number 5877). They're a much better shock to use than what I had previously planned to use-- these are designed to support the rear end of a Hyundai Excel whereas the others were for the front end of a late 80's GMC G10 van.
